Jeweller Onboarding Guide
Step-by-step documentation to configure, audit, and grow your retail jewellery operations on DiamondOar.
1. Business Onboarding
When logging in for the first time, DiamondOar defaults into the **Guided Onboarding Experience** if your inventory is completely empty. Complete your profile steps to unlock your live dashboard widgets:
- Navigate to **Settings > Shop Settings** to fill in your legal trade name, tax registration number, currency preference, and contact information.
- Upload your primary logo in **Settings > Branding** so that it generates premium high-fidelity layouts for your customer invoices.
2. Configuring Metal Rates
Because jewellery pricing relies directly on daily metal weights, you must configure live rates:
- Open **Settings > Market Rates & Pricing**.
- Update your gram rate for **Gold (24K, 22K, 21K, 18K), Silver, and Platinum**.
- Our built-in automatic calculation engine will calculate product valuation on-the-fly when adding stock.
3. Building Your Digital Vault
Populate your product inventory to begin processing retail billing:
- **Single Add**: Go to **Inventory > Products** and click *Add Product*. Key in description, select gold karat, primary metal weight in grams, and making charge percentage.
- **Excel Bulk Import**: Go to **Inventory > Import Center** and download our custom Excel layout template. Populate all necklaces, bangles, and rings, and upload in a single drag-and-drop file to initialize your vault in minutes.
4. Tag & Barcode Printing
Tag physical items in display cases to enable zero-error checkout scans:
- Navigate to **Inventory > Barcode / Tag Printing**.
- Select the jewelry products you wish to tag.
- Configure label printing dimensions (e.g. standard 30x20mm tag layout).
- Print generated high-density labels directly via a thermal label printer.
5. Connecting Weighing Scales
Protect your store from weight discrepancies and inventory loss:
- Open **Operational Tools > Weighing Scale Connector**.
- Install our premium **DiamondOar Hardware Agent** on your shop computer.
- Connect your certified electronic balance scale (USB/RS232) to stream high-precision weights directly to the POS form during transaction creation.
6. Processing POS Checkouts
Conduct high-speed checkouts at display cases:
- Navigate to **Sales > POS / Sales**.
- Use a USB barcode scanner to scan jewelry tag barcodes, or search by serial code.
- Select customer profiles, accept multiple split payment methods (e.g., split cash + card), and generate physical printouts or email/WhatsApp invoices instantly.
